You may wish to give up the practice, in that case!! Give it a few years, and then we'll see what's what.

I have tried, but find belching to be an inadequate substitute.

Better hold your breath if you come to CD for predictions based on expertise!

Another way of saying this is: What is asserted gratuitously may be denied gratuitously.

So no, this eruption won't flow continuously for decades.

I beg to disagree. 3 decades with only occasional, temporary cassations.

I have suspected, not on any scientific data, to be sure, but only on instinct, that fissure 8 has a direct feed from the hot spot. It admit it is a long shot, but that is my suspicion.

Seems like such a waste of material. Looking down on the vent, It just looks like molten iron at a smelter, and than it would great if it could be used to mold some sort of construction materials, such as concrete (lava) blocks or the like. Anyway you just have to love the look of hot, fluid lava blasting out of a vent - especially when it doesn't turn into so much spray like a high fountain does, but pretty much stays consolidated.

Awesomeness itself.

That's like saying the ocean is a waste of water.
