I found it a bit confusing when I first heard about it. This helps explain it...

Default Aloha, where is it on the rodas in and around Kona?

Aloha! We will move Sept 2019 to Waikoloa Village. I am sad to see that why ever it is, the Aloha on the roads is not thare! Almost like Washington State where drivers are brain dead and just want you not to be in front of them!! So they tailgate and pass, not being safe. And do not care about any one but themselfs!! How can we in Hawaii get it back?? The $1000 question!! Francie

Yes, everyone seems to go faster than the speed limit, especially on Queen K. Yes, please drive with Aloha, and pull over and let that line of cars behind you go by.

I moved to the mainland about 5 years ago. I miss my friends and the community the most. I miss the scenery, but not the weather. Mostly, I miss the friends.

Thanks for pointing out how helpful it is to pull over and let the line of cars pass you. That is one of the things I tell everyone I know who is planning a visit there. I have had so many thank you waves from people I let pass. It is really helpful in the morning when people are hurrying to work.
