It is simple, water in, water out. Mynahs drink a lot of water and have a very loose diet, not a lot of solid food. There is a reason they are referred to as softbill birds.
Most parrots will eat anything including french fries
My African grey loves eggs and onions and salad ( make him a salad with cucumber spinach tomatoes and olives sometimes organic chicken)
When I was a child and teen, a long time ago, you would often see Mynah birds in pet shops and hear of people owning them. I haven't even seen a Mynah bird in many years. They are really messy bird, good talkers, but can be loud, so maybe that is why.
We went to Sun City in South Africa last year, and we saw one in a large walk about enclosure, it was an Indian Mynah, and every time one of us tried to walk out of the cage or past the cage to leave it would whistle and say 'komhier' 'komhier', in afrikaans meaning come here, come here. He also could throw his voice like surround sound which was quite awesome. He was quite spectacular to say the least.
When Harundale Mall opened in 1958, it had a few large bird cages in the concourse. One had canaries, one had finches, and one had a mynah bird, which acquired a most remarkable vocabulary thanks to the original mall rats who hung out there.
