My guess is the next "new" tower will be someone repurposing the Liberty National Building. The Daniel building will be getting some renovation and I assume new UAB Medicine signage at the top once they move in.

Yeah, I hope UAB will put their logo on the Daniel Building in a way that enhances the skyline

I was listening to a podcast, and apparently, Birmingham hates "elevators and parking decks." For commercial real estate, smaller buildings do really well in the area, and towers, not so much. On the ground level, that'll lead to pretty sweet development, but doesn't do much for the skyline.

You guys are sleeping on the 2121 Building. Since the renovations, it's probably the best looking building in downtown, especially at night.

I wish more buildings would do what they did to the 2121 Building.

Yes, 2121 was definitely a successful renovation. It looks way better than it did prior to the update! It actually stands out better now too

Any update on redevelopment of former Stiver’s Ford property now that they have officially moved out? Plan a few years ago from the group that acquired it called for a “significant development”. Seeing they paid $20MM for the dirt, I would imagine they would need to go somewhat vertical to make the economics work.

Probably waiting to see what interest rates do.
