Okay, cool. I guess we can have someone cast a giant bottle rocket Crazy Bill's style in iron, tuck it in Vulcan's hand and we can be the Magic Rocket City. His spear already kind of looks like one.

It's not so much that, but the guy couldn't even make a halfway decent attempt to research what he is talking about:

"mostly built in the 30s and 40s it would appear from the architectural styles."

Ummm, no. When they were built in 1902, 06, 09 and 1912 it was relevant because they appeared so quickly and were among the tallest in the South... AT THAT TIME. So applying the moniker to some random group of buildings now somewhere else is pretty silly along with his commentary. It's like he assumes the same thing happened back then and every city had such a corner at the time or that it matters that there are much taller buildings elsewhere now.

Yeah, but the guy's a banjo player, not a journalist.

Exactly what I was thinking with the title of the thread. Far from dissing, was just saying..."really..??"

Ha. I see that. He also said he used to be a research biologist at UAB, so I figured he might know how to google.
