Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

Georgia Did The Right Thing, But It's Too Little, Too Late

I'm just glad that the evil left didn't convince and pressure the PGA to leave Augusta. Just how much more canceling does America's biggest hate group need to do? The Masters must live on in Augusta.

Georgia Did The Right Thing, But It's Too Little, Too Late

MLB is concerned about the wrong things. They think that the Georgia voting law is about anything but election integrity, and so they pull the All-Star Game out of Atlanta. Totally stupid and ignorant move, and without really looking at the facts.

What Commish Rob Manfred needs to do is pull any future All-Star Games out of Los Angeles because their gang prevention unit has just been disbanded. And why is that type of thing happening? A group of BLM-sponsoring terrorists deemed such protection as offensive.

Remember this, folks: The left will never be happy, no matter what is ever given to them. They'll always be crying and whining because they don't ever have enough power or control over you and I.

The Left Still Insists On Controlling And Destroying You

Yes, folks, we've learned about the left when Obama was in office, but not everybody listened. I think today, more things are starting to sink in with people who previously didn't pay attention. More and more folks are now starting to get it.

And something really needs to be done. This forced administration is not ashamed of their agenda.

    Leave if you hate America.

It's not just politicians, but anyone who harbors an anti-America, pro-globalist belief.

The Left Still Insists On Controlling And Destroying You

This "administration" was not really voted for. It was forced on us.

Let that sink in while we watch the ridiculous behavior of the D.C. swamp.

The Left Still Insists On Controlling And Destroying You

Ask yourself this question when you see craziness all around you: What constructive thing are left-wingers (Marxists, communists, socialists) going to accomplish by conquering and dividing our great America??

As for liberal moderates, my gosh, what do they have left?? The left as we now know it has simply abandoned them.

Texas Rejoices As Governor Abbott Frees Us From Tyranny Nonsense

Hey, Joe, listen here: I'm glad to be a Neanderthal. Texas is doing just fine and we're all ready to ditch those masks. Sixteen states are being very smart in letting people make their own decisions. If you want to wear a mask, then that's fine. I would rather not live my life in fear. Plus, my ears hurt from this damn mask! The hypocrites and fear-mongerers on the left can just kiss it. We don't have to bow to big government just because they want to take advantage of people during a crisis.

In the meantime, we red states will be just fine. Guess it's time to make some Neanderthal T-shirts and show Biden and his minions a thing or three.

Texas Rejoices As Governor Abbott Frees Us From Tyranny Nonsense

Look, I know that last year, many government officials including President Trump have had to make difficult decisions on how to navigate this pandemic. Trump and red-state officials did the best job, and that's despite bad estimations from one Dr Tony Fauci. I knew that this pandemic would not be stretching out because we've got the best scientists and researchers right here in the good old USA!

What A Difference A Few Days Can Make

Someone I know in Austin got water again yesterday, after 5-6 days without. He recorded it, sent it to many people, and was very excited about it.

Tens of miles S of there, I had an average experience, probably: alternating 4-8 hrs without power, 4-8 with. Had no water for four hours one day, but then low pressure a lot outside of those four hours. There was a boil water notice until two days ago.

Mardi Gras Not On Many Minds This Year

It's very unusual for Mardi Gras to not even be mentioned at all. Quietest Mardi Gras I've ever experienced. This just wasn't the year.

That should mean next year will come out gangbusters! I guar-ownnn-tee!

The Snow Is Falling --- And Case Can't Travel This Week

It's good to see Starbucks opening again in D/FW. They've been closed all week due to no power. They're up and running now in most locations and cars are in line in the Drive-Thru. Very good sign. Ditto with Chick-Fil-A, Whataburger, and McDonald's as power is back and water is doing fine.

Where the problems still are, regarding water contamination, is in Denton. They've got the boil water thing going, so many restaurants and gas stations cannot serve hot coffee or iced tea, nor can anyone be able to wash their hands at this time. I discovered that at the Buc-ee's location today, so that limits some purchases for now. Hopefully, the city will have the water corrected soon enough.

The Snow Is Falling --- And Case Can't Travel This Week

Vacation has been salvaged, thanks in no small part to fast thawing and consistent electricity. Weather is way better now and all power is back on and has been since Wednesday night. Things have improved so much that I'll just head for a favorite catfish spot (McGehee's) near Marietta, OK as roads have vastly gotten better due to higher temperatures and thawing.
