Battle Mountain Nevada to Laramie Wyoming



The Super 8 in Battle Mountain is very basic but works, and serves breakfast. $80.

I am surprised the hotel was full up last night. I don’t know what to expect during Covid restrictions. I thought there wouldn’t be many travelers in nowhere, Nevada and hotels would be empty. It turns out the local gold mines are going gangbusters and the hotels are filled with mine workers....

Because Knoxville doesn't have a branch of either of my banks, I got Postal Money Orders payable to International Van Lines for final payment in Knoxville. The Post Office won't take a credit card for a PMO. Cash, Travelers Checks, or debit card only.

I don't like using a debit card that way, so I would have to pay cash. I didn't know they take Travelers Checks. Who even uses them anymore? If I got a PMO in Knoxville, I would have to drive to Nashville or North Carolina to withdraw...

Here is what I used to pack a 2-bedroom apt, 1100 Sq Ft using a bedroom as an office with desk and computer desk.

So, I am getting down to the last couple of days packing, maybe 3 at most. I run out of packing paper. Off to Lowe’s Home Improvement store. Nope, they are ALL OUT of packing paper. OK, off to Home Depot. They have smaller packing paper but it will do, so I buy 2 packs of 200 sheets.

A couple of hours packing, and the packaging tape has run out. So off to Lowe’s to buy a 2-pack of tape. Go home, box items, happy as a clam.

Later that night…

I have lost 2 days getting stuck on a decision.

I have to decide what TV service and internet service to get in Knoxville. I don't like the ones I have now, and those are the ones offered at discount by my new Apartment in Knoxville.

I forgot the golden rule that if I get stuck on an item on my To Do list, just drop it down 5 or 10 slots and hit the next item. Lesson learned or rather, remembered.

Don't let yourself get stuck. It wastes time and causes...
