Has anyone here driven both the 2016 X1, and the previous model years? I drove a 2014 X1 today, and it was a blast to drive. I heard the 2016's aren't as nice to drive. Can anyone corroborate that?

The 2014 X1 is basically e90 without the issues, so yes it is really good. Also, if you drove the xdrive, it still has the hydraulic steering.
The new one ... is FWD based. Haven't driven it, but I'm sure will get it as a loaner at some point.

I drove a 2014 X1 yesterday, and holy crap was it fun! I'm not going to be ready to buy until next year, and I plan on getting a CPO. I'm just wondering if the 2016 is as fun to drive as the older models.
