Hi, thanks in advance for your help. I am moving to Boise next month to be near family.
I haven't driven a big truck for a while, but I do have a class A CDL
with all the endorsements, and hope to find work as an over-the-road
truck driver. I have not yet explored the trucking companies that
operate out of Boise. Is there a part, or end, of town where trucking
companies and trucking terminals tend to gravitate to? An industrial
section of town, perhaps? I am sure there must be a couple of truck companies with terminals in the area. My family lives on the East side of town, near Broadway and I-84.
I anticipate hearing from you, and thanks again.

Your in luck, Broadway and I-84 has a big truck stop and that's where most of the semi-truck repair facilities in the area are.

Used to work back in that area, I would say yes. Only other part of Boise that I can think of that has any trucking terminals would be south Cole and maybe some stuff on the other side of the airport.

Not sure what you pulled before, but as there is produce in the area; onions and potatoes along with frozen, the demand is large for refeers. If dry vans are more your style there's also plenty of that in the area too. Boise Cascade is over there and I think they pull both flat and curtain vans.

There are companies out of south central ID and south east ID that have drivers who live in the Boise area, so don't rule that out, however you'd have to be creative with your time off
