I just moved to kuna from CA. I commute to mtn home, so its a little more convenient than boise.
IMO Kuna is the bedroom of Boise. Just housing mainly.
The downtown does have one of the best mexican restaurants i've been to. El Gallo Giro. there are plenty of places in the kuna or kuna/meridian border with acreage and the houses seem nice.

best of luck on your search

Kuna is a nice little town to live in. I'd characterize it as a former farm town that refuses to accept that it is now a suburb. Some of the long-timers there resent/resist the growth and development, which is partially why the commercial growth has a long way to go to catch up with the residential. There is one over-priced grocery store in town, for instance.

At first, Kuna seems far out there.. It's really not though. The drive to Meridian (aka shopping) is short, as is the commute to Boise. Nampa is about equal distance as Meridian, in the other direction. Not a bad place at all.
