Like I said, NY-NJ has the most crazed, aggressive, psychotic drivers in the nation. So, defensive and slow drivers will be a welcome change. Try driving on the east coast for a year, and you would see. I have lived in Detroit, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and rural Northern California. Nothing compares to the insanity of back here. So slow merging and politeness are a sign a sanity. An over-abundance in black SUVs with dark windows, drivers thinking they are in a Sopranos episode or Federal agents. So perhaps you people who are complaining about slow/polite drivers perhaps are a bit too cranked on legal drugs or too hyper.

It's not a case of "aggressive" drivers but rather, a case of "passive" driving.

I'm from here but I learned to drive while living in Florida and California and drivers here lean defensive.
Idaho drivers are a mix of people who moved here from all over the nation, so driving habits are brought here.

The worst drivers in the Boise area have 2C plates.

In my visits there, I would say that driver's in Boise are way more cautious than other places. However, in my limited experience, they don't have a lot of patience for people from New Joisey.

If they have Idaho plates, they're Idaho drivers. And I believe it's safe to say that because you don't need a passport to cross state borders, all states have transplants. Just a hunch.

You are allowed to believe in your "hunch". You still have to agree that within the Boise Metro that the 2C drivers are the worst. They are so clueless when driving around Boise I didn't realize so many people from a certain county still drive Ford Tempo's and punked out Honda Civics. The SUV drivers from 2C have a lot to be desired too because they generally drive like they own the streets in Boise.

I honestly haven't noticed SUV drivers being any worse than any others. Most of the time, the aggressive drivers I see are in trucks. The overly cautious drivers are in sedans, and are usually old enough I'm worried they will keel over at the wheel.

I need to find out what Idaho tag prefixes mean. I have no idea what 2C signifies. Mine begin with 1A.

It's just an alphabetical list of counties. Ada is the first A, so 1A. I think Adams is the second, so 2A. And etc.

It's Canyon County, which is adjacent to Ada and makes up the western portion of the Treasure Valley. Basically Nampa and Caldwell.

It's like that everywhere, stupid people gravitate toward SUV ownership in an attempt to compensate for "short"comings.
