Any personal opinions about the Vallivue district? Birch Elementary & Sage Valley specifically. We are relocating to Nampa in May. It seems we are far enough away from the " not so nice" parts of Nampa as we are north of the highway. Am I correct? I did internet research...plenty. I just want a real-time honest opinion. Are the worse areas of Nampa really that bad?

I don't know about the school, but usually anything north of the freeway is considered good ground. Really, the whole town isn't "bad" when compared to some places on the east coast. Pretty tame really. No, but your fine.

I wouldn't classify any areas of Nampa as really "bad". There's too much rural everywhere.

I live near Birch Elementary in the Sherwood Meadows Subdivision and it is safe here. Nampa has a bad reputation because there were some gangs that moved here and the police has now put them behind bars. There was a newspaper article just the other week about how improved Nampa's crime rate is. I don't know how well the schools are because my youngest is 22 and goes to Boise State University. But the neighborhood is quiet and the people are friendly. I talked with the police department about six times prior to purchasing my house and this is an excellent area to live.
