Retired couple with small dog, non smokers, non drinkers, looking for short term living (1-6 months) while we house search! Moving mid November, provided our house in Fla. closes on schedule.
$800-$1000 would be nice! 1 to 2 bdr, within 10-20 miles of Boise.
Any recommendations or suggestions appreciated!
We have been searching properties in Emmett,Weiser,Meridian,Nampa but need to spend some time in the area to narrow it down!
Thanks in advance!
Emmett is 30 miles from Boise and Weiser is 70 miles away. Definitely not 10-20 minutes from Boise. Maybe you should post in general Idaho forum. I think most people would suggest you check Craig's list, rental agencies, and online versions of local papers.
Do a search for "home tending boise area". This will provide a list of agencies and realty management companies that offer properties for temporary rent at reduced prices because they are on the market for sale. It is always better to have a home lived in and furnished in order to sell it. If you're moving in Nov. that may be good timing for a longer term temporary, as not many houses move that time of year, particularly if you are occupying a house that's listed for $450K plus - they move slower.

Thank you! I had never heard of such a thing! I did make contact with a Home Tender company in Boise this morning and it sounds promising!
