I have also been following this site for awhile now! I have been to the Boise area 4 times since March, and also just purchased a home in Star!!! I would love to join the group in September! We aren't moving to the area until 3 years from now, but hope to rent our home to some great people! I work for an Airline, so coming up in September wouldn't be a problem!!! I am looking forward to meeting everyone, and it should be Fun!!

Excellent, would love to meet you!

If you are planning on renting your soon-to-be-built home, let me know as I have friends who may wish to take a look!

Welcome! Enjoy your move, take good care and get plenty of rest! Mine went fairly easy, but still drained me, I think I was running on caffeine and adrenaline for at least a month after. :-) I have old school friends (we're not old yet, are we?) in Star and they love it.

Looking forward to meeting you!

Thanks, I will let you know after we close late August!!! I'm not building a new home, I purchased a resale that was built in 1999! Hubby wanted mature landscaping!!! It is in the Starlight Meadows subdivision! It is a cute, quaint, and quiet subdivision! I wish I could retire now, and move in at the end of August!

I can't wait to meet you, and everyone else too!

Great, look forward to meeting everyone. The move is already stressful and we are still over 2 weeks away. Our moving company says it may be up to 2 weeks for our stuff to arrive so we'll just make the best of it and explore the area.

That would be great! Looking forward to meeting everyone, nice group of people here on CD!!

Want to share this with those considering a move here...my daughter and I had a lovely experience yesterday at Costco.

After shopping, we stopped for a bite to eat at the Costco food "court", it was a bit crowded so we shared a table with an elderly couple. Got to chatting w/them, ended up wanting to adopt them! Both 89, married 67 years, and obviously still very much in love. Was beyond heartwarming and sweet. We ended up exchanging phone numbers.

This is the type of people I consistently encounter here, salt-of-the-earth types who confirm that moving here was the right choice for us! No state is perfect, no group of people is perfect...but I find Idaho to be full of the kind of people I want to spend my life around. How many times in life do we get those opportunities? How incredibly fortunate I am, and beyond grateful!!!
