People are talking about the country music festival but not this?

I'm not Basque or even living in Boise presently but it amazes me how few locals actively participate in a unique part of the Valley culture. My own mom won't even go, yet complains about how Boise has no culture. lol.

Anyways, newbies should definitely visit. I am sad I am not there. The Boise Area has one of the largest Basque populations outside of Spain/France and the only Basque Mayor.

I think I'm the only one talking about the country music festival here really. It's an inaugural event this year!

I've been to the Basque festival many times over the years. I have family in it. I've ate chorizos at the Basque restaurants. I've toured the Basque museum. I've partied on the Basque block during the events and explored their round gypsy wagons.

It's a fun cultural event!

Hey, I live in Portland, I'm not Basque, and I'm here!!! First learned about this festival about 6 years ago and eventually decided to go for the cultural uniqueness and to see Idaho. Been having a ball!

Last night we enjoyed the Sports Night, and tonight we'll head out for the Festara. Haven't had a Basque meal yet but maybe tonight.
