Get a gym membership ( I think golds in only $20 a month ) and use showers there even if never work out. Who cares? You paid for the thing. There is no many ways to shower outside of a reg. shower. Just search " van dwelling tips " online . ~Amanda

Doesn't Flying J have shower services for truckers/members too?

Truck stops really really frown on non-truckers using their showers and other facilities designated for truckers only. And so do a lot of truckers. They think of these places as a sort of trucker's private clubs.

One realistic option would be some Idaho hot springs. There are several hot springs and adjacent campgrounds that are within striking distance of Boise. You could either purchase a guide book from borders or borrow one from the library.

Some people might feel that way, but my money's as good as anyones and when I was homeless I inquired at a Flying J and didn't get any kind of attitude at all, just a frank explanation of the fee structure and procedure. I didn't actually use the service, but I wouldn't shy from it because of a perception of other people's opinions.

No doubt a person can do it and get away with it. However, if you look at crime statistics in cities the areas along the freeway corridors are always some of the highest.

This is an excellent idea, you can watch the morning news while using the treadmill also.
