looked the area up on google map for you -
it appears they are in the downtown area near PArk Center across from Wms Golf COurse- west of the river - don't know what they look like - they look pretty nice on the website - but looks can be deceiving - best to ask someone from Boise who is familair with the neighborhood

I lived there! Just moved out last year. The apartments are...ok. I was pretty happy to move out. The area is really great though. You will be in SE Boise which is my fav area of Boise, across the street from the river, close to downtown etc. SE Boise also has good schools. I would recommend The River Quarry Apartments over The Plaza (they are across the street on Parkcenter). The management was...well...questionable at the Plaza. The River Quarry was really nice, clean, pool and right on the greenbelt. Also, the Huntington Apartments on near that area too and area nicer than the Plaza. Hope this helps!

Thanks so much - will look into both of those - we just don't want small - we need a decent size and The Plaza said they were 1400 sq ft - we also have a d5 yr old dog under 25 lbs - but I was excited to hear that this was close to the "action" and downtown for we love to walk, bike, fish and hike and of course for me, shop.
Is it a safe neighborhood?

Yes, it is a safe neighborhood. There are some less desirable places around the corner from the plaza, the Creekside Apts on Rossi. Stay away from that, they are pretty run down. Also, you'll find Boise to be very pet friendly. People take their dogs everywhere, Home Depot, and there are even dog friendly bars and restaurants in town.

Oh how great - we have a dog that we take with us everywhere - and she loves people and loves to walk so thank you
I wish our home would sell here - we can't wait to get to Boise
Did you stay in SE? lots of people are trying to steer us to Meridian - but I have a feeling that is the local popular suburban town.....

I used to live in the Huntington Apartments on Mallard when I moved to Boise a few years ago. That area is very beautiful and natural with many, many trees everywhere. The air always smells so clean and fresh because of all of the nature around. There is a large pond which people fish in and canoe on, a creek, the river, city parks, the greenbelt, deer, ducks, geese. Many early mornings I would see deer walking around on the grounds of the complex or near the creek. There are some restaurants close by and there is a pretty good selection. If you decide to live on Mallard you won't be too far from downtown.
As for the neighborhood it is very safe and very clean.
If I had to choose between this area and Meridian, I would choose SE Boise hands down.

Agreed! SE Boise definitely. I think it depends on where you want your life. Meridian is a suburb of Boise and a nice, affordable place but if you move there, you live there. So it's unlikely that you would spend the time enjoying the river, greenbelt etc, if you live in Meridian, it just isn't part of your everyday life. With SE Boise, all of those great things we mentioned would be your everyday life. You will shop there, walk there etc. If you live in Meridian you have to make a special trip to enjoy those things. I know I don't do that, so I choose to live in SE Boise.
