Does anyone use or need any kind of water purification in the Boise area? I do know there are several companies serving the area but was interested to know if there is a strong demand. Thanks for any info

I'm a water chemist. If you post what might be in the water that's bad, I can say something about the best way to get rid of it.

If you get water through a city distribution system, they probably have published reports of the analysis.

If it's a well, you need to have nitrates run, esp. if you have small children. 10 ppm as N is the highest that's safe.

Thank you for replying I ask about water purification demand as my hubby is in that field of work where we are currently living. We are thinking of moving to Boise(hubby's hometown) and was interested to know if there is people or business who have a need for purification installations(RO's, softeners, etc) Trying to get a fix on availability of work in his field. Thank you for any help

Really? That's interesting.

I'll bet a place like that gets its drinking water from rivers, or wells. If the former, such water always has significant hardness. If the latter, it varies.

Check published reports from the local water authority.
