We are heading up on vacation soon and will be looking (or my wife will be) looking to shop - she likes Starbucks, artsy - pottery barn, crate and barrel, Barnes & Noble Book stores -type stores - BUT does not like the "big box" malls - walking, shopping, boutiques
Any ideas where to go in Boise??? Art, crafts, candles, boutique clothing,
Help me please - so the "boys" can go raft the river for a day....
Downtown Boise would be the best for walking, shopping, and boutiques. There is a Starbucks downtown but the Flying M is far superior in terms of coffee and atmosphere. Also Java Hut. There are no Pottery Barns, Crate and Barrels downtown at all. (thank goodness!!!!) For that type of "big box" chain shopping you will need to head west to the mall which is I-84 and Cole road exit. I don't believe there is a Crate and Barrel in Boise, although there is a Williams Sonoma. The anchor stores there are Dillards and Macy's. We don't have Neiman's or Saks or anything at that level.
Thanks - we will try the Flying M - don't want any of the "mall stores" - here in Phx - the Pottery BArn and Crate & BArrel are free standing stores - not in malls - so I guessed that was how they where everywhere else - Are there boutiques downtown for her - smaller locallly owned stores -
MAcy's is great for a large department store -
What streets should we concentrate on - or will we see them all in a shopping district confined to one area in Boise?
Are there any home type accent stores - where you can great prints or art; or accents for the home? -
