Of late, I have just been picking up books from the library and getting bored after a few pages. Havent really found anything interesting. I have read almost all of Sidney Sheldon, Jeffrey Archer, Ken Follett , James Hadley. Love these authors. Also liked few of Harrold Robbins books- A stone for Danny Fisher is my favourite. Loved Carol Shields' "The stone diaries".
Any more authors similar to these ? I love the thriller stuff like Sidney Sheldon has in many of his books. I am a big fan of fast paced novels like James Hadley (Please dont go by the cover )

Please suggest some good books for me. Looking forward to start a good read by next week

Seeing that you like fast-paced novels but also enjoyed The Stone Diaries, I wonder if you might like Audrey Niffenegger's The Time Traveler's Wife

You would probably enjoy any of John Grisham's books. They are always exciting, have great characters, very easy & addictive books. I have read every one as soon as they are in paperback. I think my favorite has been "The Client". Give them a try.

Robert Ludlum. Start with the Bourne Identity. It hooks most people by the 2nd page.

Looks good. Yeah, I usually like fast paced ones, but loved Stone Diaries because of it's superb narration. Will try this one for sure.

I just finished The Hard Way by Lee Child. I couldn't put it down. He writes a good thriller/mystery

For fun mysteries....yes there are such....Try the Maggody Series by Joan Hess. Also The Hamish Macbeth Series by M. C. Beaton. They have made a TV series from those on BBC.

BookSense.com

Just go here. Lists of picks by employees at Independant Bookstores across the country, including blurbs about why they liked it. Almost always perfect picks.

And don't you dare go and buy it on Amazon...
