Oh I think Ms Christie set the bar for crime novelists! I know a lot of people class her as "cosy mysteries" which makes them sound kinda twee, but they are full of emotion and range and insight into humanity.
I have a lot of Agatha Christie movies. I like Miss Marple and I also like Hercule Poirot. There is an older one with Liz Taylor and Rock Hudson....And the Mirror Cracked. I also have a couple on my kindle that I have not read yet. Christie's books and movies are very pleasant and, yes, I do find them "cozy.
I always wonder what is in Poirot's "tisane" -- it sounds like tea but he frequently expresses disdain for the tea the English drink.
I've always thought of it as herbal tea. Perhaps he liked a drop of spirits in it, too. Wonder what Belgian folks like along those lines. A slug of vodka in tea sounds awful. Cherry sloe gin tea also sounds awful.

So does the blackberry sirop....

Maybe he'd like my favorite mint tea.
My latest Christie read was Sparkling Cyanide.
