Nice article about notable bookshops.

Do you know the website Road Food that's terrific for finding eateries across the country? Why isn't there something like that for book stores?

I love the indie book sellers and I've been to a number of the stores in her article. Here's a couple of my favorites that weren't on her list.

My absolute favorite is RJ Julia in Madison CT R.J. Julia Booksellers | A great place to meet books.

Two more great stores Bear Pond Books: Matching Readers With Books since 1973 in Montpelier VT and Green Toad | Independent Community Bookstore -- Oneonta, NY in Oneonta NY

I keep wanting to go to Oneonta. I hope I remember that bookstore. I think it's a college town, so that would tend to mean bookstores.

Let's bump this thread with an article from CT Magazine about the 10 best bookstores in Connecticut. My personal favorite is R.J. Julia Booksellers in Madison, but the Book Barn in Niantic is just up the road and that's pretty nice too.

If you're traveling through the area on Interstate 95 both stores are worth a visit.
