Hey all - maybe you can help me. My sister reads series avidly which makes for easy holiday gifts but she's complained recently that's she's finished her favorite authors and doesn't know what to read now. Based on the authors - anybody have any ideas? Love to get her the whole series as a gift. Thanks.
Done and loved - Miss Julia by Ann Ross, Agatha Raisin and JB Stanley (not sure if that's separate series and author or the author that wrote the Raisin series but she's mentioned both) and I've seen on her bookshelves several Dearest Dorothy, Laura Childs Crackleberry club and Mitford something or other.
Sounds like she enjoys books known as "cozy mysteries"? I've read several Agatha Raisin books... light mystery, light romance....that kind of thing. Sound right? I think usually "cozy mysteries" are set in England, but the Miss Julia books are not.
Here are some that may work:
Rhys Bowen has written three different series: Molly Murphy, Constable Evans, and Her Royal Spyness
M.C. Beaton has written other books besides the Agatha Raisin series....there is "The Poor Relation" series (the first book in the series, "Lady Fortescue Steps Out" is so good!...and the Hamish Macbeth series...
Another suggestion might be the Inspector Gamache series by Louise Penny. I personally haven't started it yet (I have the 1st one) but I've heard good things and it's been recommended by more than one person in different aspects of my life. Perhaps Agatha Christie too would be a good author for her.

That series by Louise Penny is on my TBR list for sure. Good suggestion.
