I don't have either and until someone can give you more advice, I would look them up on Amazon.com and check out the ratings they got by those that have purchased them, this might help you decide.

I loved Dreams from My Father. It's well written, interesting and a good insight into Obama's character. He wrote it well before he had ever entered politics.

I am reading Audicity of Hope right now and it is pretty good. A lot of insight on US Politics along with some of Obama's experiences. I havent read the other but plan too at some point.

Already on the bestsellers. I was just checking the NY Bestsellers list, looking for something new to read. I go to the list, check things out, then go to my Library site and order online to pick up at our drivethrough window!! How awesome is that?

It is too bad more of you that voted for Obama have waited until after his election to read his books. Read DREAMS FROM MY FATHER before you read AUDACITY OF HOPE. Pay attention to DFMF. It gives you a lot of insight into why he thinks the way he does.

Dreams of My Father was written in 1995. It starts of in NYC where Obama's father, a black man from Kenya, whom he has seen only a few times, is suddenly killed in a car accident. From there, Obama travels to Kenya to learn more about who this man was.
