Need Help with book Tittle (author, stories)

This was a book about trusting your instincts. It would tell you different stories about people feeling that there is something wrong with the situation they are in and then finding out that they should have trusted their instincts because they were right.

I'm not sure but I believe it was geared more towards women...

Possibly The Gift of Fear by Gavin DeBecker (I may have mangled the author's name, but it was something similar.)

A terrific book for women - I gave copies to my daughter, cousin, pretty much any single women I know who live alone.
