I am traveling alone with my 3 kids (ages 9yrs, 5yrs, and 8 weeks) out of Logan airport later this month and trying to figure out the logistics. As of right now, I am not bringing any car seats/boosters as we will be borrowing from friends at our destination. I may not even bring the stroller, but that's up in the air right now. I have a ride to the airport (from spouse) so my question is at the other end, when we return. I need to get from the airport to our home in the Chestnut Hill area. My husband can't pick us up due to work commitments. I don't think I can manage the T with the kids plus luggage. What are my options for cab or van/shuttles? Anyone know what the rules are about using them with or without car seat/booster for the younger two?

I think cabs are exempt from car seat laws, but do you really want to have your kids (an infant?) ride without one? What about a car service? I'm sure you can arrange one that will have what you need.

I agree a car service is probably best and they can arrange for car seats if you give them enough notice.

I use this service to where we live in Cambridge. Give them a call and see what they offer to Chestnut Hill.

Thank you, very helpful! You are right, traveling without a carseat especially for my youngest is far from ideal. I just can't figure out a way to haul the kids, the luggage AND the seats on my own (when we have that stuff to borrow at our destination) but this type of service would be much better, thank you!

I do think if you go to the logan airport site they do list vans etc., that serve the airport area.
where you live is there a park and drive place since if there was on your return day maybe
your husband could leave your car there. many hotels also offer pickup to the airport and return
best check the airport site and see what they offer.

gobostonshuttle.com may be an option. I've noticed their presence at Logan in the past couple of years. Their website says they've been in service for around 20 years, but I don't recall their vans until recently.

They also seem to have a car service division.

You can sign up for promotions thru their site.
