if you go West in Mass the men get taller the further you get away from the coast towards New York or Penn area ....something I noticed traveling thru to Maine a couple of years ago

Try Austin or San Antonio. I'm 6 feet and grew up in central Mass. Other than a little gap in the heavily German Hill Country, I'm a friggin giant down here.

No. I'm 6' and feel tall for around here. When I visit my wife's family in Minnesota I feel average at best. We once had a group of students from Groningen in the Netherlands (the tallest part of the tallest country) and I felt downright short. Even half of the women were taller than me.

That was going to be my comment. I'm 6'2". In Massachusetts, I'm tall. In Minneapolis/St Paul, I'm barely average.
