Hi all, I have a question for those who know/are in Boston.

We plan to visit Boston from Monday Nov 4 to Sat Nov 9. Is there any major event (festival, concert, sporting event, etc) going on at that time? I hope not, as I do not like big crowds. I looked at the calendar of Boston events and found nothing, but can someone confirm? TIA.

Nothing that I'm aware of at this point although it's right on election week so who knows what happens in terms of protests or whatever. (not trying to turn this into a political thread at all) This is also the time when, generally, the hotels charge cheaper rates online. December is usually even better.

I would avoid hotels near the TD Bank Garden (West End neighborhood) since the NBA and NHL seasons will have started. The venue also hosts concerts regularly.

Any other neighborhood should be relatively crowd free.

It can be a lovely week to be in Boston itself - typically peak foliage color change for the trees in the urban core in the past generation takes place the first week of November. It's rare now to have had a frost in the city by that date, so mild weather is technically not Indian Summer until that happens, but it can be mildish that week.
