Probably for discharging a (illegal?) Firearm in broad daylight at the very least.

Where this happened isn't particularly close to ashmont st. It's actually closer to Melville Ave which has older million dollar Victorians. Dorchester is weird like that though. You have pockets of beautifully kept neighborhoods like Wellesley park surround by squalor.

I saw Talbot Ave and Codman Sq. Talbot intersects with Welles which is basically the edge of Ashmont Hill down to the BPL on Wash. Ashmont Street is on the other side of the hill. But yea, Melville is also not far and similar in real estate value.

Yeah it's funny how the bad sections don't seem to affect the real estate value on those well kept streets. Although I'm guessing those on streets like ocean, Melville and ashmont would be even more if crime was lower

I remember when many of those big old homes were selling for under 100k back in early-mid 90's.

Wow. I'd believe it. Hard to believe what they cost now.

I mean he did accidentally discharge an illegal firearm at a school bus stop with children present.

From what I read he’s being charged with 4-5 firearm charges plus assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Whether the child was actually struck or it is a previous wound is unknown despite the initial claim.

Default Re

Well it certainly made for an eye catching headline to say a 7 year old was shot in broad daylight.

Those homes deal with BnE. Or at least did until recently perhaps?

Sometimes but there is really no excuse for not having security systems in place if you want to own one there.
