Ah yes, let's focus on interpersonal vitality of roxtappanchester and chase away all the corporations along with their tax dollars, sounds like a wonderful idea. Homie for governor!

Boston City Council votes to lower voting age to 16 for local elections
https://www.bostonglobe.com/2022/11/...cal-elections/

The petition will now be sent to the Massachusetts Legislature for approval, which is not guaranteed. Similar proposals had been approved in recent years in Cambridge and Somerville, but neither cleared the State House.

The state legislature (dominated by suburbanites) controls Boston. Not the mayor or council. In Maryland these things can go into effect without state approval/interference.

State was called most prosperous. Home value appreciated like nowhere else. Suburbanites in MA do very well.

Is Boston not in MA as well? You still haven't explained how the legislature's spending or policy favors the suburbs over the city.

Already been established here, but that does not answer the question. You claimed that the legislature is specifically sticking it to the city of Boston, to the suburbs' advantage.

If we want to talk about comrade chairWumyn’s accomplishments she has so far successfully refrained from defundabolishing police and implementing centered green new rent control meaning people are not being subjected to daily wallets inspections and mandatory iphone donation solicitations, and there’s still some new construction happening here and there. That’s actually a resounding success compared to places like Portland and Minneapolis/St though #wutrain herd is very unhappy because comrade chairWumyn promised both of the above and then some but it turned out she’s just a usual grifter who will say whatever gets her that fat taxpayer-provided paycheck.

No no- if that's what you got then that's probably my fault. The state legislature acts in favor of suburbanite and their attitudes because that is who they're comprised of- old suburbanites. They just don't care about Boston from a political/social POV- only economic.

They apply their own personal old people suburbanite white bread sentiments onto Boston passively. They simply won't act on things that would make Boston a more dynamic or fun place to live. And if they don't agree with something they just stonewall Boston ..or Cambridge, what have you.

It's implicit bias in favor of suburbs because that's where the votes are, that's where they're from, and that's what they know. They won't think to allow Boston to govern itself differently. So things like this fall on deaf ears. Its a base level disregard for the ambitions of Boston and its populace.

It's not sticking it to Boston actively, they can stick it to Boston by simply ignoring 90% of the HRP's like they do. It requires no action and comes as no skin off their back because there's no individual blame to be had.

That's quite a conspiracy theory. Interesting that as people age they get apathetic to the needs of others so they just ignore those needs? Does that include you? Interesting that all those white bread suburbanites share all those traits. It must be because they are white and old and just don't care. I'm sure that's the case. And I'm sure they sit around ignoring Bostonians and our elected officials, because we apparently don't have our own Boston delegation and becuse the Mayor and City Council have zero powers to manage the city? Oh wait...lmao
