Crazy. Obviously innocent until proven guilty, but she worked for the city for years and throws it all away for this BS?

Boston is a movie I swear. The scripts coming out of our city are insane.

Still waiting on the Shaun Harrison flick and the Big Papi doc.

Need the exposé on the Marty Walsh shooting too…

Wait her linked in says it took her 16 years to get a bachelors degree?

Anyways if this is true... If... She's done and the Mayor's office is seriously hurt. This will make it much harder for her to run again

I'm not a Wu person but the accused has been a city management-level employee for many years. She's not a political appointee. I have no love for anyone bringing contraband into a prison, but who cares how long it took her to get her degree? The fact she got her degree and appears to have worked hard her entire life, makes me wonder what the hell happened to her.

Generally there's a time limit to get a degree as established by the institution. For example my Master's Degree took me two and a half years and they give you up to six. Likewise with a bachelor's degree they probably only give you so long.

Again if what they say is true her career is finished and it's going to severely damage Wu going forward. There's no way that you can tell me that somebody that's ahead of Finance can be convicted for something like this and not have it have a significant impact. If she was a custodian or maybe some type of pre-ed teacher or daycare worker that would be one thing but this is one of the top brass.

I can sympathize with people that have addictions and I'll gladly support Rehabilitation but smugly Contraband in the prisons no. If we want to talk prison reform and doing things like lowering the cost of phone calls to prisons and maybe expanding educational programs absolutely I have no problem with that but not contraband.

Sometimes people make really dumb mistakes a while ago a mayor's aide gave you some crap (nothing illegal but bad pr) and I basically told other people about it and she was fired. It didn't matter whether she was a Harvard grad or not she was still fired. She no longer works in government

Most grad programs have time limits of 5-7 years. I've never seen undergrad programs with such time limits and if there are, they are rare. Lots of people take courses here and there while they work full time and/or raise families. Not unusual and certainly nothing to be ashamed of there.

If convicted, the accused will likely need to retire. I highly doubt Wu will be impacted in the least. Not only will her base not care about this in the least, most people understand that she (and the bulk of career city employees) are not appointed by the Mayor.

I'm interested in knowing what happened to her. I don't see any indication thus far that she's lived a life of crime, so to speak, up to this point. This stuff happens all the time all across the country. Of course it shouldn't be tolerated, but it only surprises me when people like this do it.

I don't think it matters how long it took someone to get a degree especially if you're a black woman. People are all over the diversity and inclusion thing

I wonder what Westiewhitie would have to say about this one lol.

Whatever happened to WestieWhitie? Have not seen him/her on here in a long time. It seems whoever it is last posted/commented some time in late December 2022, so not that long ago. Did they get booted off or leave willingly? Their comments were sometimes a bit harsh but I generally agreed with the sentiments.
