Right, the fact that all these articles keep saying, oh well the adults of the home put the kids in another room to shield them from the dead body is ridiculous. How about the kids should never have been around that kind of behavior in the first place or someone should have taken the kids out of the house immediately at the very least.

These are people who never should have had kids and it's a shame they did. Forget parenting skills.

Then there's something in the article about a man wearing a wig and men with women's clothing which presumably were left out of the police version because they aren't necessarily relevant to the facts of the incident. So whether the conditions were squalid and whether there were drugs and alcohol strewn about seem to be at issue here. BPD did file a 51A so they clearly felt the situation warranted a closer look by DCF. It's possible the place was cleaned up before police arrived but nobody knows how long it was from the time fire got there until police arrived.
I don't think it matters if anyone was cross dressing or wearing a wig. The fact these section 8 people were partying with drugs, alcohol and kids says enough. I'm sorry but if you're in a situation where you're on section 8 and you have kids I wouldnt think there'd be much reason to party in the first place...but these people are most likely addicts who have no intention of getting their lives together.

The dead person was described as a woman so maybe that was her/they. Or perhaps the dads had custody for the weekend.

Drugs and alcohol run rampant in the projects. They also run rampant outside the projects, but housing projects were never a good idea in the first place. They breed more social problems than they solve.

I would be surprised if the adults in the apartment were parents of those kids.

The BPD update also claims the adults were fully cooperating.

The initial reports say the kids were being hidden. The BPD update claims:

"The parents and the officers who responded felt it was best for the children to stay in another room with one of the parents and took steps to avoid having the children see the deceased."

The daily mail article describes the person as a transgender black woman - pronounced dead at the scene, according to a police report.

At this point I don't think the gender even matters but you seem to want to argue about these points.
