I am planning on selling my car soon after I move into my new apartment in Brookline from New Haven, CT.

I think I just want to sell my car to a dealer rather than going through the hassle of selling it privately to someone.

I was wondering if there are any car dealers I should go into/avoid.

My car is
MAZDA 626 LX V6
year 2000.

Any input would be helpful. Thank you!

Hey there. I don't know how MA is for selling cars, but I just sold my 98 accord in california in two days flat using craigslist. sold it for cash too. If you want to sell it privately, make a good, descriptive ad and put in a picture if you can or explain why you can't (my camera was broken. I stated that and nobody cared about pictures). My car was a salvage, had no airbags and had chipping paint and some poor soul still wanted (actually many poor souls called about it). I say give it a go, because quite frankly a dealership will get you screwed. kelly blue book it, NADA it, and then price it smack dab in the middle. State "or best offer" over a certain amount. It's a good car, so I think. You shouldn't have that much trouble with it. good luck and cheers!

Default Car dealerships

Hi,
Sounds like you are graduating from Yale Med School to start a residency at one of the Harvard/Longwood Hospitals?

In terms of selling a car in Brookline, I live in Brookline, and a lot of people here sell their cars to Cypress Automart in Brookline. I have no idea what kind of prices they offer sellers though. The people who work for that owner do seem like nice, decent folks.

No suggestion of dealership...

Basically it depends how much money you want to get for your car.

Private sales... you usually get more...

Sell to dealership, Best price is probably wholesale book value...or may be even $500-1000 below depend on condition. But, it saves you time and hassle.. which is also money.

Default i think you should try selling your car online

i think the easiest way for you is to try to sell your used car online on a free website like www.mecarz.com and post all the car informations and photos , you can not to post ur mobile just ur email or both to get the prices.
