I am currently working in DC and hope to move up to Boston within a year or two, and I am in need of some advice. I want to get my masters degree (more specifically a MBA), and I was wondering if it would improve my chances of getting hired if I got a degree from a local university (BU, BC, UMass, etc) vs a MBA from here in DC?

Also, I have been looking at a few job posting within Partners Healthcare, and a lot of them seem like great jobs. I work as a financial/budget analyst currently, but I am looking for something similar within Partners since they seem to be a great system to work for. Does anyone work within the financial realm for Partners? And if so, what are the pro's and cons?

If anyone has any inputs I would greatly appreciate them.

Unless you are going to Harvard or MIT, it won't make a lick of difference where you get your MBA from. Save your money and go to a public school.

Thanks for the input, does anyone work for Partners in the financial side of the house? I have been trying to get info on salaries\career growth for financial analysts working in the healthcare field, particularly within Partners or a large healthcare systems.

Any info??

Thanks
