Hi, I live in Longmont and have a bunch of old 2x4's and various pieces of wood with big nails sticking out of them, as well as a few shrubs I ripped out of my backyard. These do not fit into my city trash bin and they won't just take them off the curb. How do people around here get rid of such waste?

Meowen - you can take the shrubs and any other yard debris to the limb drop off center which is behind the drop off recycle center. Just take your City water/electric bill to show.

Tree Limb Diversion Center, Recycling, Public Works, City of Longmont

As far as the other stuff, the city does have free landfill days:

Free Landfill Drop Days, Annual Programs - Special Events, Public Works, City of Longmont

They used to do a Stop and Drop which was really great and free, but I guess last year they ended it.
