Hi all,

My family and I very recently relocated from Fallbrook, CA which is in the north part of San Diego County. We are renting in Superior while I look for a house to buy. I would like to find anyone who is familiar with both San Diego and the Boulder area to help me draw comparisons between cities I'm familiar with back home and those here. For example, is Westminster similar to Oceanside? So far, Superior seems like Carlsbad to me. Specifically I'm looking for information about crime, schools, and people. (Other areas I lived in in
San Diego: Oceanside, Carlsbad, Hillcrest, Chula Vista)

Here's a list of cities I'm curious about:

Superior
Louisville
Broomfield
Lafayette
Westminster
Arvada
Thornton
Any others you might want to comment on

My husband works in Thornton but his company will be moving to "somewhere between Thornton and Longmont." We will know exactly where in a month.

Thanks in advance for your time!

If you can afford it Louisville is (arguably) one of the best cities in the entire country to raise a family. Best schools in the state, crime practically non-existent, endless walking trails, tons of events for families.

City? Louisville is a small town, not a city. I just didn't want people to get the wrong idea. Boulder is a small city and to some, it is close to a town. Louisville is a nice little place though as far as the little old town and the cool homes around that part. You can keep the big box area.

I would look at Superior, Louisville, and Lafayette. Those cities are in the middle of your search area and have the best schools, safety, and community.

Whoa, I stand corrected. Louisville is a city and so is Lafayette. Superior is a town. Interesting. Okay, carry on.
