We, family of 6 and a dog, are moving to CO within the next 3-12 months. We want to be near a 20 minute drive time from Littleton (family there). We want to live in trees (not actually up in the branches, but around them. We want to rent a home for a couple years. about 2000 sq ft. We enjoy hiking. We are concerned about the pollution around the Denver area.
Is Golden a good place to start?

If you want to get the most out of this site, best place to start is tell us where you'll be working, your rent budget, and anything else that would be a topic for picking a location. Littleton is fine, as is Golden. Boulder is $$$.

Boulder is pricier, but prices are not that much worse than other places in the metro. You can still buy a house in Boulder for what a condo will cost you in LODO. There are other pricey locations in the metro area as well. The real problem with Boulder in your situation is that it is way more than 20 min. from Littleton.
