From what I've heard, Broomfield/Superior/Louisville/Lafayette are good areas to raise a family. What would it be like for a 20-something single female to move to the area? Are there a fair amount of people in their 20's and things to do or would you recommend looking elsewhere?

I wouldn't say it's an exciting area for the young and single, but there are pockets with more single people. I have a younf female friend about 30 who likes to spend the summers in the area, and she always rents an apartment near the Flatirons Mall. She says Boulder is too loud and Louisville is too mature.

That's funny! Does she mean "too old"? I agree Louisville was the place for older Boomers to live when they were young marrieds, but there are still lots of families here. Louisville Elementary School is getting overcrowded, and it's not us "mature" folks who have kids of elementary school age. Go to Happy Cow on any evening in the summer and it's swarming with kids.

To the OP-about the only singles you'll find in any of these towns is single parents. Broomfield may be a little different because it's considerably bigger than the others.

If you lived in one of those towns you'd be close enough to both Boulder and Denver to enjoy the nightlife there.
There are lots of new apartments and condos being built in Broomfield and along US 36. More new construction just off 36 and the road that goes west to Flatirons mall and east to the toll road (can't remember the name of it). I'm guessing that many are/will be occupied by young people.

I believe so!

I think it might have something to do with the available properties though. As neditate posted, there are a lot of nice new shiny apartments in Broomfield. I'm planning to suggest the area near the new alfalfa's to her for next summer.

That area seems to finally be making some progress. I think they are intended to be condos, and I'll bet they'll be expensive.
