Under $900 may b e difficult to find in the Denver metro area.

You may want to consider a room rental in someones house or an apt. share. If you can find an inroad to the Indian community through a church or other organization then you could network to find a place that is affordable and gets you the community you desire.

People have suggested padmapper.com several times now (browndog twice). Have you even looked at that site? The answer is there.

My son currently works in Boulder and has a nice, updated 600 SF 1BR/1B third-floor apartment in Broomfield for which he pays $1400/month plus all utilities. Parking is free - no garage. Washer and dryer are in the unit.

His lease is up in May, and he said he will be looking for a shared housing situation closer to or in Boulder itself. He is tired of shelling out 50% of his take-home pay for rent.
