I would hope that Flagstaff is pretty nice because all those folks in the Valley have to be able to go to a place where they can cool off, right?

Isn't Flagstaff Az at an altitude of about 7300+? I have folks who live in Pine and they used to have a B&B up there, but now they just have a restaurant.

Baseline road there is my little Topanga Canyon away from home.

Default Flagstaff Elevations

Yes the Phoenix folks have second homes up here and they certainly vacation here even if they don't. The number one golf course in Arizona is "Forest Highlands" 8 miles south of Flagstaff / 17 miiles north of Sedona. And, of course, we go down to Phoenix to warm up (2 hrs). Coming up from Phoenix to Flagstaff, you can always tell who lives in Prescott or Flagstaff since they have Subarus. There is not a subaru to be seen in Phoenix. And, you can tell who lives in Sedona because they all have Jeeps.

Flagstaff officially is 6903.' However the elevations supporting residential homes in and around Flagstaff range up to about 7300' (The Arizona Divide). Areas higher than that are mountains and national forest.

Thanks! I tweaked the brightness on the second batch of pics today. Since there was a gloomy sky ahead that day, the trade-off was worth it I thought.

Flagstaff, AZ... funny I always thought that too! I've only been there once but enjoyed my visit. Flagstaff has the same feel as Boulder, just seems like a mini-Boulder to me.
