Looking for a hotel to crash at after an afternoon and evening of drinking in downtown Boulder on a Saturday. We are NOT picky, especially after the condition we'll be in. Recommendations, please. Thanks!

Close to downtown, within walking distance: the University Inn (on Broadway near Arapahoe) and the Quality Inn Boulder Creek (Arapahoe & 20th).

It is possible to drink until you can't see well, and when that happens it's likely that you could freeze. In that case, I'd suggest getting a cab even if you're pretty close. Since you're getting a cab anyway, I'd suggest getting something cheaper. There's a Super 8 in Longmont.

Remember it's college football season, and if it's a CU home game weekend discount rooms get snatched up quickly. Try both Best Western on 28th and Baseline, or like Neditate said Quality INN up the street, those tend to have the best rates in town. Drinking until you can't see? That was any random weekday afternoon, or evening in Boulder for me in the early 90's. Standard procedure on more festive weekends was to apply a dog collar, and leash and provide a trash can by the bed for one particular CU football lineman roomie ...he got into the habit of leaving the house to torment the town after a few too many and at 320 pounds he was physically difficult to control. We had to take him to the Best Western one night to hide him from the police so he wouldn't get arrested for fighting across the street at the Dark Horse Saloon. I also stayed there one night while back in town from California following a huge bender , decent rooms/prices for Boulder..I have stayed at most of the hotels and have worn sunglasses to breakfast/brunch at every restaurant in Boulder through out the years after .."can't see" events.
Little advice V8.,Odwalla Protein monster smoothie, motrin, and the phone number for Boulder detox on North Broadway to pick up your friends the next morning, and possibly the number for AA.

There's a Days Inn on S. Boulder Rd. on the eastern edge of the city limits.

Were you, perchance, the person who almost ran over me while I was crossing the street during my first visit to University Hill?
