We're probably going to move to Louisville, CO this summer. We have a middle school boy who has an emotional disorder (he's bipolar) for which he needs special ed.

Last year my family and I moved to Louisville from New Orleans. We have an 11yo daughter with mental and physical disabilities. So far we have been very happy with the services she is receiving. She currently attends Eisenhower elementary in Boulder. Her teacher has a PhD! Next year she will be attending Louisville Middle School and we have already gotten together with faculty and staff. We also use the services of a group called Imagine Colorado. You can look them up on the web. They are a great group. Another source of info for you can be a website called parent to parent of Colorado. They have a list serve where you can post specific questions to other parents. My wife uses them a lot. I think the community is very accepting of people with special needs. Let me know if you have more specific questions. You will love it here.
