Who offers the best cell phone, cable TV, and telephone service in the Longmont area? Ideally fiber to the home for Internet access.

As far as I know, Comcast is the only provider of cable TV in the Longmont area. Whether they are the best is another matter.

We use Comcast for internet because they have a much faster connection than Qwest could offer for our area.

We use Dish for our tv, but chilaili is right, for cable, Comcast is your only choice.

Cell phones....we use Verizon. My husband uses AT&T only because he has an iphone, and the service is horrible.

The [customer] service, or coverage is horrible? I'll be switching carriers when we move and would be curious about AT&T.

thanks.

The service is horrible. He gets dropped a lot or doesn't have service.

I agree! I used to be with AT&T but switched because of too many dropped calls and spotty coverage. We switched to Verizon. They have MUCH better coverage west of the Mississippi.

Coverage is about how close you are to a tower, etc. All carriers have their issues. Perhaps because in Broomfield I am closer to the "Denver" towers I rarely have problems with AT&T. You won't know until you move somewhere so you should probably wait to switch cell phone carriers until you see how reception is where you live and where you plan to use the phone. AT&T recently announced several upgrades to towers in Colorado are in the works.

Does anyone have any comments (good/bad/indifferent) about using the Longmont city wifi network, RidgeviewTel? It seems to be reasonably priced and the coverage for the city of Longmont looks good, but how are the download speeds?

Last I knew that hadn't worked out. Got started but got dropped somehow. It's been a couple of years so it may have changed.

We use a bundle with Qwest for landline and internet (fast enough for me) Verizon (never a problem) and Satalitte TV (I think better than cable). YMMV

Have fun!
