Has climate changed affected Montana as much as other places too?

I'm tired of record heat and humidity each year and need a pleasant change.

Someone mentioned cities in MT do reach 32 deg. F for six months of the year at night.

Yes, Bozeman and Kalispell reach / go below 32 degrees about 180 nights in average year. Some years will be worse than average. Some other places with have more, a few lower spots will have less.

Both have 5 months with average highs below 45.

Just 5 months have average highs over 60. 2 average over 80 in Bozeman, Kalispell short of that with 79 in 2nd warmest month.

Tradeoffs. It is possible to go from unhappy with the weather to unhappy with the opposite.

13 nights below zero in Kalispell on average. 18 in Bozeman. And some years could see 50 plus % more than average. If you aren't so bothered by lows of 32 or 0, there are the occasional -20s.

It's affected the entire world. In Montana the forest fires have gotten out of control, and the air quality is really bad some summers.

Bozeman can get hot and lots of people don't have air conditioning. But if you're looking at relocating to Bozeman your concern is probably going to be cost of living unless you're a millionaire.

Bozeman real estate prices are 20% down from Feb ‘22 to Feb ‘23. We’ll see more of a correction me thinks.

So houses are now $800k instead of over a million? Still not affordable for what most jobs pay.

A 20% drop is not insignificant. Not what I’d want to pay but for people in tech or other high paying industries that’s in their wheelhouse.

But now that the Covid lockdown is over Montana is less desirable. If those folks don't over pay then the market will really correct.
