I used to have a coded map of all the school boundaries when I lived in broward county. I haven't found one for brevard. I'm thinking that if we stay in florida- renting beachside will be ideal for us. However I will have kids in public school for the next 13 years...

The county school site has a page you can put an address in and see what school your child would go to.

I don't have any specific address. Just brainstorming areas.

Basically Beachside elems

Melbourne Beach- Gemini

Satellite Beach- Holland, Surf Side, and Sea Park

Indialantic- Indialantic Elem.

Indian Harbor Beach= Ocean Breeze

Middle schools

Satellite Beach - Delaura

Indialantic- Hoover

High Schools

Satellite High School

I think some high school kids still come to Mel High -thinking Indialantic and Melbourne Beach areas but I could be wrong.

There are also magnet schools you can choose to have your kids go to if there is room.
Sometimes you can also choose a school near your work or a daycare for your kids to go to, but a lot of schools are frozen. You just need to talk with the school district when viewing homes you like.
All the schools here are rated pretty high so not really something to worry about for the most part.

Thank you! That's exactly what I needed. Hubby travels for work and I am SAHM so don't really have to "live close" to anything. Although I might have to get a jobs someday I suppose...

Default Schools

Hi there,
I would suggest you look at the brevard county school board website. They have the zoning maps there. You can also put in the address if known and check it that way. Is there a particular area you're interested in? I can send you a school guide - snail mail if you'd like a hard copy of info. I am a local Realtor and can help you with location and finding a place for you and your family. Feel free to e-mail me: kpenn@viera.com
