I may have the opportunity to work in Melbourne and currently live in Lake Mary. My plan is too commute via 46 and 95. I've recently driven back from the potential work site at 5pm and traffic was FANTASTIC as compared to I4 :-)....it took an 1 hr and 10 minutes and I didn't even speed. I've been looking at the traffic via sigalert and it looks waaaaay better than I4....

If all goes well, mainly a real good ESE school/support; we'd move nearer work/beach after 2016 summer and rent the LM house.

BTW, I also have an opp to work in Dunwoody, GA (NE Atlanta); anyone have insights there? I'll post in that thread as well

Thanks in advance.
Hi! I was once a guidance counselor in the Brevard County Schools, which meant I handled all of the ESE meetings for our school. Brevard Schools have some of the best ESE teachers around! He would likely be in a VE classroom (Varying Exceptionalities) & if he was struggling there they may consider moving him to a special program for students with Autism (that would be decided in a meeting with all involved parties including you). They always try for least restrictive first. I'm sure you know to be sure to bring his IEP and any other paperwork with you when you register him. They will re-evaluate him, but if he has an IEP showing he needs a smaller environment they will honor that while they do the re-eval. Otherwise, they would start him in a regular classroom because that's least restrictive, although totally inappropriate for him at this time. I loved working with students who had Autism. Each gain they made was so special and once you earned their trust it was a very special relationship.
Good luck with your move!!
