Im worried as my children will want to have families, this Zika virus is spreading , I read that spraying doesnt contain it,, I live in a winter climate but in a very safe area but medical help is not top notch but improving thanks

I would not let that be the main reason. If it spreads, it is only a matter of time before it is all over the country. Hopefully there will be a vaccine or other preventative developed before that happens. Remember the killer bees. That was supposed be the next big scare how many years ago. Then it was Ebola from Africa. There will always be something that we have to watch out for. I just wouldn't let it direct your life in one way or the other.

Zika is already all over the country. The last I saw from the CDC, only FL had cases (29 in a population of millions) that were suspected from mosquito bites. All the rest were travel-related. Add to that the transmission of the virus isn't limited to mosquitos and then consider the move.

They can genetically rid of these pest, easily, but there are nature groups fighting it. So we will continue with these mosquito born illnesses and they will grow and there will be much more impact on us all. Yes they are food for some larger species, however, they are no needed in our environment. Same goes for ticks.
