My parents are in their 60s and are looking to move to Brevard county to be closer to me. They want to live in an upbeat area with lots of stuff to do, people around, etc. Any suggestions would be VERY helpful!

I love Cocoa Beach. Plenty to do in downtown, restaurants and some nightlife, beaches, close to the Port for more places to eat or gamble or cruise. Plus, a few minutes to Merritt Island and Cocoa Village.

My mom likes the beach and my dad likes cars. My dad would like to live somewhere where he can have a large car garage. My mom wants to live anywhere where there is nightlife and people around maybe walking distance to stores, etc but again they are in 60s so don't want just a college age party life. Maybe just an active senior complex where there are activities and stuff to do?

The nightlife and garage are going to be a tough combination to find. Usually you have to go more rural to get a garage. Viera is what came to mind for them until I read about the garage. There are many subdivisions in that area and lots of shops and restaurants right there. They would also be within driving distance to many festivals, the beach, downtown Cocoa Village and downtown Melbourne. If they like golf there are some great golf coarse subdivisions there too.

Cocoa Beach sounds like a good fit for you mom...the downtown area usually has a fun, age-appropriate crowd
However, your dad may have to forgo his large garage to live beachside
