Please help I have to decide between these 2 towns and I have only lived in Melbourne in the past , my grown children want me to pick how do schools compare? , crime crowded areas and cancer clusters? I can’t visit right now due to family obligation. I have researched both but can’t decide also how is special Ed needs acceptance and activities? We would only need a small hose for 3 adults we want to be bar our children and good specialists and hospital thank you

Sorry, but you don't need to keep posting the same thread over and over. If nobody answered, it's because nobody can tell you which area is best for you. Pick close to your kids and start a home search. Both areas seem very nice and a reasonable choice based on your requirements.

Sadie, you need to ask a moderator to remove your duplicate posts.

You might give more information on what you are looking for, the questions below are just a start:

Home, condo, apartment?
Size of residence, number of beds/baths, etc.
What is your price range?
You say you have grown children but then you want the best schools? Special needs for children?
What type of doctors/specialists do you need?
Where do your grown children live, how far do you want to be from them?

Good luck!

Sadie, do a google search for 'compare melbourne, fl and jupiter, fl' and you'll come across a couple of sites that give you direct comparisons in a number of factors including crime, population, housing costs, income levels, etc.

As SanyBelle said, more information would be great, especially regarding how much house you can afford. A brief search showed average housing prices are way higher in Jupiter than Melbourne.

Jupiter is more expensive, has blue colored ocean water, higher end restaurants and about 6 degrees warmer temps for being further south.
Melbourne has more diversity in both its people and in housing prices. It's more spread out with a larger foot print. You are likely to find more affordable housing. It has more jobs because there are larger companies located here.
If you ask me, they are very different areas, with different vibes and price points.

Melbourne is in the heart of "the parolee coast." That's a cop term.

Click onto You Tube and watch about 50 Forensic Files and Dayle Hinman episodes. That's your first clue.

"C&R" is short for "clobbered and robbed."
