I’m at minuteman causeway. Best view from here for the rocket launch tonight from here. Second I keep seeing what looks like barges being pulled out in the ocean. What are these for.

If you are talking about barges from and to Port Canaveral, they could be for any number of things from fuel to hauling containers. Anything that is transported by ship is also transported by barges just in smaller amounts.

It may also be dredging which occurs a lot to keep the port deep for large ships. A lot of the dirt gets dumped back in the ocean off shore I believe.

Dredging yes that’s what I thought it might be. Ok thanks guys. Won’t be viewing a launch tonight. Got moved to early morning so I won’t be up. Going to Kennedy in the morning.

At the Space Center, upgrade your experienc to include lunch with an astronaut. I did this with my family a few years ago and it a great experience as well as a decent buffet lunch. There are discount packages if you go on line and through Plumb Benefits. We got a two day pass for very little extra as well.
